Summertime, when the living's easy...

Peace forum.
A few weeks ago we spent some time praying for/about/into the World Peace Forum, which is happening in Vancouver on June 23-28. If anyone is interested in attending part of this event or finding out more information,
check out their website. If anyone has any ideas on how we could get involved or would like to be a Convergence delegate, contact me.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Canada day.
If you're interested in making/handing out popcorn, cotton candy, sno-cones, clowning around, making balloon animals, or painting faces at Broadway's Canada Day fun-tivities on July 2, contact me to sign up ASAP. This volunteering opportunity is guaranteed fun!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Camps & conferences.

Don't forget to think about helping out with one of the camps (kids or youth) or registering for one of the three conferences happening this summer (ACTx, Leadership Summit, or Regen). Contact me for more information on any of these...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summer reading.
For those of you who ordered Rich Christian through me: they're on their way! If you are still interested in participating in this discussion group, feel free to join us Thursday nights at 7pm before the services (i.e. June 29). We'd love to have you!

Heads up.
Just a reminder that beginning in July we will be meeting at Trout Lake park at 7pm for Convergences [weather permitting]. Having the acoustic worship and teaching outside is a great way to enjoy the summer, not to mention the abundance of popsicles, Frisbees, and footballs! More details and directions will be available next week...

  • see, i would be down with all of this stuff, but i'm not in the province. dawn even evil-eyed me when the peace summit thing came up, and i'd totally do it if i was there. too bad. but sounds like there's a lot of good stuff, so to the one other person who might read this - GET INVOLVED! - it's fun. good times in van...

and jamie, i'm thinking of ways to get more readers, since you nixed the "date with jamie" incentive idea i had. i'll let you know what i come up with.

  • i think it's seriously time to nix the anonymous comments. but good to know there is serious maturity in our pastoral team...=P (and my vote is for dawn and corrie combined...two crazies don't make a sane)
